Earlier in the year, I had looked for a driver "I could stomach," primarliy so I could jump into the conversation from time to time about NASCAR with Rick and Jo.
Unfortunately, the race that day came down to the last couple of laps where Gordon won the race but Busch won the Cup. It was exciting (surprisingly) and I enjoyed it (even more suprising). At that point, I thought I might be starting to become a closet NASCAR fan...something I NEVER thought would happen.
This year, I have actually been paying attention and my driver (Matt Kenseth) has slowly been turning his season around, which has been fun to watch. I have learned about strategy, etc. and it is much more exciting then I ever thought doing circles around a track could be.
This week, for my birthday, I bought myself the hat shown above. So, I am doing it, I am coming out of the closet...people, I AM A NASCAR FAN! There, I said it. I'm even in shock of the statement...but I feel so much better.
