Here is a good commercial about my favorite player:

A pretty funny commercial

Have you seen this?  Obviously, I enjoy it because it's a commercial about Pedroia but the bantering in it is great, especially the last line.

I never would have guessed it

Based on a previous post of mine from last year, you can probably guess I am pretty happy about today's events.  It's great that an old school, hard nosed player won the award.  I'd have loved to see Morneau get it but honestly, Pedroia and Youkilis both deserved it more this year.  Personally, I think you could even make more of a case for Mauer then you can Morneau.  The final vote for the top four was Pedroia 317, Morneau 257, Youkilis 201 and Mauer 188.  Considering Pujols won the NL MVP, I must say I'm very pleased all around.

39 (Greenwell) ~ 7 (Nixon) ~ 15 (???)

Picking a favorite Red Sox is not something I take lightly.  In the 20+ years I have followed the team I have had two favorite players (Mike Greenwell and Trot Nixon).

When Trot was not signed back this last offseason I knew I had a important task in front of me.  I needed a new favorite and it's taken me nearly the entire regular season to determine who it is.

Watching the Red Sox/Yankees series this weekend has helped solidify the decision.

Welcome to some exclusive company Dustin Pedroia.
