Bonds away, please

Last night I watched #756 crushed over the center field fence at AT&T Park on ESPN2.

I'll be honest, over the last week or so I have tried to catch an at-bat or two of Bonds each night.  Not so much because I was interested in seeing him hit the record breaking home run, I just wanted it to happen in the hopes that this whole thing would finally be over with in the media.

The feat itself is incredble, regardless of what you think of the man.  However, the fact that America never embraced this chase and will likely still continue to call Hank Aaron the "Home Run King" is priceless.  Both good and bad Barry, you've got what you deserved.

Now can we please move on to something in baseball worth talking about...

  1. ...like the finals of the MLB Fantasy Baseball finals! Peavy! Peavy! Peavy!!! BTW, Bri... close game last week. Once again, I was saved by SD pitching...

  2. No doubt, it was fun to follow. San Diego's ability to keep Peavy's shutout in tact countered with Atlanta's inability to keep Hudson's was the difference.

  3. And so...my first post ever on Brian's blog is about baseball.
I feel that my knowledge of baseball has grown since being with Brian. Some of these things I have asked about on my own and others I think have just been absorbed into by brain by watching and listening to baseball and strato. But after reading what you two were just commenting about, my reaction remains the same...
    Huh?
    Followed by...
    Geeks.

  5. I'm glad you're starting to absorb some of this stuff now. It'll come in handy when Nattie plays her first Strato game at age 8.(I thought I replied to this comment a couple of days ago, but apparently it didn't save)
